Dear Jonathan Brind, I am writing on behalf of a friend who is very interested in his family tree, but currently is not able to devote time to undertaking the necessary research. He is due to retire in the near future and to try and get him started on his family tree, I am writing to you on his behalf. As a gesture, some of my research and from what we have obtained from him through conversation, and hopefully anything you can add will go toward the so called Little Red Book as Eamon Andrews used to have in his tv programme This is Your Life.

Notice is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned Reginald Charles Brind and Laurence George Harvey carrying on business as Carpet Retailers at 86 High Street, Ilfracombe in the county of Devon under the style or firm name of "KINGS CARPETS" has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 28th day of September 1963 so far as concerns the said Reginald Charles Brind who retires from the said firm. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Laurence George Harvey who will continue to carry on the said business under the style or firm of " Kings Carpets ".
